Project Coordinator
Sydney is a Project Coordinator supporting human-centered design and graphic design projects at Public Works Partners.
Sydney is dedicated to using graphic design as a catalyst for social change. She is a Gold Scholar graduate from the Georgia Institute of Technology where she studied industrial and product design. She has a background in UX, product design, and design research. Many of her projects are focused on the intersection of design and sustainability, and she has a passion for better understanding the problems of the world so she can improve people’s lives. Her interest in how human-centered design centers people’s needs to effect social change drives her work.
Experience
- Interned at Balta Rugs, and helped lead company rebranding, including a new website and social media presence.
- Presented at a design research symposium with a focus on the industrial and governmental policies that promote a single-use economy.
- Completed studio coursework with companies such as General Electric and International Hotel Group to improve and expand their existing design research, UX and product design.
- Partnered with Kendeda Living Building for Sustainable Design, where she researched sustainable building rating systems, created a zine to spread awareness about equity and sustainable efforts on Georgia Tech’s campus and in the greater Atlanta community.
Outside of Public Works Partners
- Can be found reading in a park.
- Frequenter of farmers markets.
- Enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, camping, and paddle boarding.
