Sarafina Fabris-Green
Analyst
Sarafina is passionate about efforts to increase a community’s awareness on urban development-related issues affecting their area.
Experience
- Spent two summers working with community members and municipal workers on large scale dance installations at two City of Austin pools meant to engage the public on the role of pools in neighborhood life.
- Studied the planning process surrounding Austin’s 2020 campaign for light rail, comparing the city’s spatial development to shifting relationships among politicians, planners, and residents today amidst Austin’s rapid growth and increasing cost of living.
- Observed local leaders in Buenos Aires, Barcelona, and Cape Town develop urban planning strategies according to their local cultural context during a semester-long study abroad program.
- Worked with New York City-based nonprofits on strategies to diversify their revenue and seek out new donors amidst impacts of COVID-19 on fundraising efforts.
- BA in Urban Studies at Wesleyan University
