The Task

Lincoln Center Education (LCE) engaged Public Works Partners to identify opportunities to strengthen families’ relationship with schools and enhance arts engagement in Community School District 7 (D7).

Our Strategy

• Conducted focus groups and interviews with students, parents, school staff, and local stakeholder institutions, such as Hostos Community College and the NYC Department of Education
• Integrated stakeholder feedback with an understanding of LCE’s mission to help LCE align programming with community interests and priorities

Project Impact & Outcome

• A set of stakeholder-informed recommendations to guide LCE’s strategy in the South Bronx Community School District 7
• Action steps to help LCE more effectively engage other South Bronx service providers and the school system, identify opportunities to better align its mission and community interests, and build on existing touchpoints with students and their families to deliver programming
• Enhanced awareness of Lincoln Center Education’s commitment to the South Bronx
