The Task

STRIVE International, in partnership with the East Harlem Community Alliance, launched the East Harlem Talent Network to help neighborhood anchor institutions hire local talent. They were looking for a financial sustainability plan that would set them up for long-term success.

Our Strategy

• Vetted operating costs and identified earned revenue sources to diversify funding streams
• Interviewed employer, government, and philanthropic stakeholders to understand interests in place-based hiring initiatives

Project Impact & Outcome

• Recommendations to help this new network attract investment for their program. Years later, they’re still in business
• Launch and ongoing success at matching East Harlem residents to local employment
