Idris Mignott
Senior Manager, Business Operations
Idris Mignott is an innovative leader whose fusion of creativity and business acumen defines a successful career.
Idris is a business development and corporate philanthropy expert who has created strategy, solutions, and campaigns across multiple platforms. In the seniormost operations role at Public Works, Idris is responsible for the areas of Finance, Legal, IT, and HR, as well as day to day operations. He is skilled at managing cross-functional teams and matches a visionary outlook with solid strategic planning. He naturally engages entrepreneurial approaches to enhance client relationships and build new revenue. His results-driven, collaborative leadership has historically built successful teams. At Public Works, Idris collaborates with other members of the senior management team to identify new opportunities, processes, and solutions that prioritize business strategy while supporting the Public Works team and our clients.
Experience
- An expert in strategic partnership, Idris has been critical in the development of key public/private sector partnerships throughout the City of New York involving collaborations with a roster of Fortune 500 brands.
- Idris founded and led a communications agency which specialized in corporate social responsibility and pioneered social impact for corporate, nonprofit and government clients including L’Oreal, Polo Ralph Lauren, Sesame Workshop, The White House, the Tribeca Film Institute, Estee Lauder, Ford Motor Company, Vogue, Jaguar, Communities-in-Schools, University Settlement, Perrier-Jouet, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and Men’s Health magazine among others.
- Prior to coming to Public Works Idris held leadership and management roles at The Fragrance Foundation, Sesame Workshop, and God’s Love We Deliver.
- He earned an MBA and BA at Columbia and Wesleyan Universities, respectively. He has also studied Art History at the University of Pennsylvania.
- He is a proud recipient of the NYS Attorney General’s “Triple C” award for Character, Courage and Community Service.
Outside of Public Works Partners
- Idris serves on the Board of Directors at Stonewall Community Development and is a former member of the Board of Directors at The Door and Contemporary Friends Steering Committee at the Studio Museum in Harlem. He was also a Founding Member at Friends of the High Line.
- Aside from home in NYC his favorite global cities are Istanbul and Rome.
- Idris hates housecleaning, likes doing laundry, and loves grilling anything outdoors (even in winter!).
