David helps mission-driven organizations and the communities that they support to plan for the future.

David supports client services initiatives at Public Works Partners by conducting research and analysis, engaging stakeholders, and assisting clients in building their organizational capacity. Prior to joining Public Works Partners, David was a tenants’ rights advocate at a New York City legal service provider and a Congressional staff member in his hometown’s district office. During his undergraduate years, David studied modern United States foreign policy, conducted archival research for his university’s Bicentennial celebration, and worked at a rare book and manuscript library. David applies his experience working in the government and non-profit sectors to all his client engagements at Public Works Partners.
 

Experience
  • Represented NYCHA and Section 8 tenants in administrative termination of tenancy proceedings and preserved housing and public benefit access for clients
  • Collaborated with tenant organizers, legal service providers, and elected officials to advance progressive policies, including Fair Chance for Housing and the full implementation of Right to Counsel
  • Served as a Spanish interpreter and the first point of contact for hundreds of tenants with active holdover and nonpayment eviction cases in Queens County Housing Court
  • B.S. in Public Policy Analysis and B.A. in History from Indiana University
Outside of Public Works Partners
  • Enjoys spending time outdoors playing basketball, sailing, and exploring the city
  • Attends as many concerts and art exhibitions as possible
  • Frequents vintage clothing and antique shops
