Analyst
Ava is dedicated to improving the conditions of communities through her knowledge of communications and policy.
Ava graduated from the University of South Florida where she studied political science and international studies. Ava leverages her professional experience and education to present detailed ideas in accessible forms. She utilizes her expertise in writing and social media to support the Business Development team, highlighting Public Works Partners’ methods and impact.
Experience
- Interned for a Florida State Senator and was a Communications and Digital Engagement Intern for a gubernatorial campaign
- As an Advocacy Research Analyst, collected data at the United Nations Economic and Social Council’s 58th Session of the Commission for Social Development, where the first UN resolution on global homelessness was adopted, and synthesized findings into a Civil Society Report
- Volunteered for the NGO Committee on Social Development’s social media team during the 58th Session of the Commission for Social Development
- Interned at the National Center for Healthy Housing and wrote a landscape analysis on wildfires, building codes and stakeholders
Outside of Public Works Partners
- Researching and watching experimental films
- Planning for time to enjoy nature
- Reading a thought-provoking book
