Amairani Marin Tovar

Analyst

Amairani supports the development of programs, initiatives, and analyses that advance equity and inclusivity.

Amairani graduated from Cornell University where she majored in Environmental and Sustainability Sciences with a minor in Latina/o Studies. She brings experience in stakeholder engagement and developing equitable and inclusive programming. Amairani supports Client Services at Public Works Partners by conducting research and assisting in data analysis to ensure our clients are making the greatest impact in their communities.

Experience
  • Facilitated interviews with Surfrider Foundation and partners that led to the development of a report with recommendations for beach access equity programming to increase accessibility to the ocean for BIPOC and non-coastal communities
  • Conducted forest regeneration research in Central NY with Cornell’s Arnot Teaching and Research Forest and Cornell’s Cooperative Extension
  • Led information sessions in English and Spanish for Environment for the Americas programming to increase diversity in Rocky Mountain National Park.
  • Developed an after-school science program with Red Hook Initiative to encourage Brooklyn youth to pursue STEM careers

  • Can be found thrifting in East Village
  • Alum and mentor for Doris Duke Conservation Scholars Program
  • Loves to walk around and discover new places in different neighborhoods in NYC
