Join us at our second convening of workforce development leaders to discuss how COVID-19 is impacting our organizational missions, and how we can meet the needs of program participants and staff in a changing context. At our first convening, Overcoming Challenges and Adapting New Strategies on April 22nd, we were reminded of the value of bringing the workforce community together to share experiences and resources during this challenging time. The WPTI and Public Works teams are excited to invite you to continue the conversation. This 90-minute session will address strategic, operational, and tactical questions that leaders have, brainstorm solutions, and share lessons learned. More specifically, the discussion will center on the following questions:

  • What are the strategic management questions that workforce providers need to grapple with to prepare for program recovery? And what should we do right now to set ourselves up for success?
  • How can we adapt service delivery now and post-COVID-19 to continue meeting the comprehensive needs of our program participants?
  • How can our organizations be responsive to the personal and economic impacts of the pandemic on our staff?

Public Works CEO Celeste Frye and WPTI Executive Director Sharon Sewell-Fairman will moderate the conversation using online tools to ensure a dynamic and engaging experience.
