We recently dropped the curtain on the first year evaluation of the Roundabout Theatre Company’s Theatrical Workforce Development Program (TWDP), a program that prepares out-of-school, out-of-work youth for careers in technical theatre. So far, 27 fellows have completed the first year of the program, which includes an internship placement in theatres throughout the city.

During the first year of evaluation, we helped Roundabout determine what success looks like for the program. We also reviewed data and shed light on lessons learned and how the program can strengthen its work.  Check out the one-pager below, which highlights key findings from the first year of the TWDP evaluation.

Gearing Up for the Second Act

We’re excited to kick off the second year of evaluation, which starts now! In this phase, we are working with Roundabout to assess their partnerships, employer network, and the ability of the fellows to secure long-term employment so that the TWDP can continue to enable a diverse set of young adults to enter the technical theatre field.
