nyatepPublic Works Partners and Opportunities for a Better Tomorrow (OBT) will present a workshop on using social media to connect with workforce development program participants on November 20, 2013. We’ll provide organizations with a road map to overcoming initial challenges to using social media and launching a social media strategy from scratch.

Tools like Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn can enable service providers to reach out to prospective clients and stay in regular, long-term contact with participants and grads. OBT, a client of Public Works Partners, is an innovator in social media practices for workforce development programs and will share their real-world experience using social media tools to successfully engage participants in workforce programs and improve placement and retention outcomes.

Our workshop is part of the New York Association of Training and Employment Professionals (NYATEP)’s fall conference, which will be held in Saratoga Springs, NY, from November 18-20, 2013. Early bird registration and hotel blocks are available until November 6th.
